This is the captivating story of Baldersby Park, written by six distinctive voices, each unveiling the building's rich history over the past three centuries.
The book also details the changes to the house and the stories of its many occupants over the past 300 years. Edited by Darrell Buttery, several authors, including Avril Pearson and renowned architectural historian Jane Furse have contributed chapters on the various inhabitants of Baldersby Park. These reveal a fascinating insight into the building's history, charting the many changes it has seen from its inception, including its use as an auxiliary hospital during the First World War, its requisition during the Second World War and its current use as the home of Queen Mary's School.
